Sponsorship – The Greundiek coaster

Greundiek – the local dialect for Grünendeich – is a municipality located in the “Altes Land” on the Lower Elbe, where Stat Control used to have its headquarters.

All ships that call at or set out to sea from Hamburg pass by this town.
They transport goods that may even be counted using our inventory systems.
The Greundiek was one of the first coasters to transport goods after the war.
Now she sails as a museum ship and is loved and taken care of by a very committed association of former seafarers and supporters.

We are delighted to be a member of this association and make our contribution towards maintaining the Greundiek as an example of the post-war logistical reconstruction of Germany.
